Kiersten and David knew a wedding on Maui was a must! David was born and raised on the island and close with a large extended family and Kiersten’s family was more than happy to travel for the celebration. The couple fell in love with Gather on Maui, formally known as Gannon’s, which is located on the Wailea Gold & Emerald golf course with incredible panoramic views from the mountainside of Haleakala to the deep blue of the Pacific Ocean. With a large group, finding a location that fits both your vision and your budget can be a challenge! Gather offers 2 wedding ceremony locations, the Molokini look out which is located on the 18th hole of the Gold course and the wedding knoll located at the base of the restaurant. Both offer amazing views for an affordable price and is further discounted, if you’re hosting your reception with them as well. Kiersten & David opted to do an exclusive buy out of Gather’s with the majority of the site fee going to the food and beverage. The buy out price gives you full access to cocktail hour on the lower lawn for drinks & appetizers while the couple finishes their bridal portraits on the gorgous lawns or a near by beach for sunset! We love the mass variety of photo opts at Gannon’s, everything from lush & tropical, manicured ocean views and a gorgeous beach 2 minutes away!When having a buy out at Gannon’s, reception dinner is held in the elegantly main dining room, which has the perfect layout for the guest dining tables and dance floor on the lower level, then the bar and DJ on the upper level. The restaurant has floor to ceiling sliding doors, that create a great indoor/outdoor feel and allows easy access on to the surrounding patio from all exits. For smaller groups, the lower lawn can host up to 60 guests and allows us to bring in a DJ for dancing, it is one of the only locations on Maui that will allow dancing, if not buying out the restarant. The upper pond is a pretty, semi private location just out side the main restaurant and our favorite location for groups 25 and under, wanting more of an intimate dinner and dancing is not on the agenda.
