DREAMS DO COME TRUE!

Kelly and Dustin dreamed of an intimate destination wedding on Maui and fell in love with the Olowalu Plantation House.  The Olowalu Plantation House offers so many spectacular back drops for photos, from an ocean view, a coconut grove and lush tropical landscape.  It’s hard not to be impressed with all of the plantation houses charm & beauty!

When Maui was closed to travel at the end of March 2020, no one had any idea for how long or what the new travel restrictions would be.  We were told that in August Hawaii would open to travelers again with pre-testing, but that was quickly reversed.  It was quite the emotional roller coaster ride for anyone planning a destination wedding.  Do we wait and see if the island opens?  Do we move our date?  What will the travel restrictions be?!  So much uncertainty!!!

As the October wedding date quickly approached and still there was no official word or solid reopening plan, we began to lose hope.  Discussions were had about postponing or canceling the long dreamed of Maui wedding.  Whispers of a big announcement started circulating and I urged the couple to give it just a few more days before making their final choice.   Finally a decision was made that the official opening date of Hawaii would be October 15, 2020 with pre-travel testing!

Kelly & Dustin flew to Maui on the first day of the re-opening and although there were long lines and some kinks to work out in the travel plan, they made it to Hawaii with a small group of their family and friends.

The wedding day was beautiful, all of the couples careful planning & eye to details came together perfectly.  Stunning florals from Maui Palm Tree Floral on Gold risers accented the amazing view,  Dimitri and Sandra  photography captured the day to perfection, allowing us to feel the feel the love of this special couple and incredible day!

Thank you Kelly & Dustin for choosing A Perfect Paradise Wedding to be apart of your special day!!! It was amazing and a day I will never forget!
