Dreamy Kapalua Bay Beach

Kapalua Bay beach has been voted one of the top 10 best beaches in the world several times over and is our favorite beach on the West side of Maui for beach weddings!

Kapalua Bay beach is a beautiful crescent shaped beach with golden sand, protected by two large lava rock croppings on either side.  The pristine bay is outlined with palm trees and tropical foliage and has a Gorgeous sunset year around.  The islands of Lana’I & Moloka’I can be seen in the distance, creating a beautiful view from any angle!

We have several wedding & vow renewal packages located on our web site, but if you don’t find one to suit your personal needs, we would be more than happy to create a custom proposal for your special day!

Kukahiko estate wedding & Gannon’s lower lawn reception!

Kellsey & Wade dreamed of an intimate, Hawaiian wedding & a vacation abroad with their closest family and friends.  Traveling all the way from Australia and never having been to Maui, Kellsey & Wade relied on the photos on our web site and our professional & personal recommendations to help them select the perfect wedding & reception venues.

The couple fell in love with our online photos of The Kukahiko Estate and once they learned that I was also married there 6 years ago, they were sold! The Makena estate will always hold a special place in my heart and is by far one of the most stunning, Oceanfront estates on Maui! The Kukahiko estate offers beautiful, tropical landscaped grounds, complete with its own small cove & a lava rock jetta, making for some incredible photo opportunities!  Sunset is stunning year around in Makena and the perfect back drop for your special day!

100% of the planning was done through emails due to the time difference to Australia & the couples busy work schedule.  I tried to make the process as easy as possible, but also giving choices for every aspect during the wedding planning process.

Once the locations we chosen, our next step was to send a list of our favorite photographers for Kellsey & Wade to chose from.  To me, photography is one of the most important aspects of an event, it’s all of your memories captured to tell the beautiful story of your day.  The couple chose Stew Pinsky, owner of Hula Girl Photography and couldn’t have been happier!

After the photographer & photographer package were selected, we were able to set a ceremony time & Officiate.  Based off the scripts & photos that we sent, Kellsey & Wade deceided to go with one of our personal favorites, Pastor Valentine Rosette!

Flowers & décor were chosen from our web site and constructed from two past, favorite events that incorporated a bamboo arch with vivid florals in Pinks, Oranges & Purples, Our signature orchid swirl pathway and purple orchid leis for the guests, draped on each chair.

After a moving ceremony, group & family photos were captured before the guests were swept away by limousine to the carefully selected reception site, Gannon’s.  Kellsey & Wade wanted an intimate wedding reception complete with DJ & dancing! Gannon’s lower lawn is one of our favorite reception recommendations for smaller groups looking for an incredible, private and affordable venue!  The lower lawn sits below the main restaurant and is very private.  It offers a beautiful ocean view for cocktail hour & amazing food for the reception! DJ’s are allowed & your welcome to customize the venue with romantic lighting, dance floor and decor.

While the guests were enjoying cocktails and appetizers, the bride & groom made a quick stop at our favorite beach, Po’olenalena  for a few photos with their toes in the sand, before they continued on to Gannon’s for their  grand entrance.  Kellsey & Wade were announced to their family & friends and moved into a romantic first dance.

Both Kellsey & Wade said they couldn’t have been happier with the selections they made and that it was truly a magical day that they will Cherise forever!

Adorned with a simple bamboo arch & scrim, rolling manicured greens & a breathtaking views Kelsey & Sheldon said their “I do’s”.  During a hear felt ceremony by Rev. Alapaki, the couple & the guests were moved through laughter, tears of joy, & lots of kissing!  The peaceful setting was made even more perfect by the talented Charles Nahale on guitar.

Nicole Sanchez from Behinds the Lens Maui did an incredible job of capturing the beautiful day!  Nicole & her assistant, Tyler, were able to get some really cool shots with this fun group.  After the family & group photos, the couple went with Behind the Lens Maui to our favorite beach for sunset bridal portraits and were blessed with a beautiful Hawaiian sunset!

When planning a beach wedding it is important for my clients and their guests to know that all beaches in Hawaii are public.  The required beach permit doesn’t mean that we are being “reserved” a spot, we are not allowed to ask people to move and must be courteous to other beach activity.  Most people are very respectful and once they realize we are getting ready for a wedding they try to stay out of our way.   We have been planning weddings on Maui for over 16 years and have a few tricks up our sleeve for getting the best spot on the beach for your special day!   Give us a call today and we would be happy to answer any questions you may have or visit our web site at www.aperfectparadisewedding.com to view our beach wedding packages!
