Tanjia  & Jeff, a stunning couple from California, selected the elegant, Hale Honu Estate from an earlier scouting trip to Maui.  The couple was shown several popular wedding venues, but Immediately fell in Love with the exclusive,  Hale Honu.  They knew it would be perfect for their dream wedding on Maui!

Tanjia & Jeff choose White, silver, and a splash of soft pink as their wedding colors, with just the perfect blend of bling!  Tanjia provided photos of her vision for the ceremony décor, wedding flowers, and reception décor to our talented florist team at Dellables.   Dellables created six incredible floral topiaries with hanging crystals on elegant silver poles to line the aisle.  The elegant bamboo arch with white scrim was  adorned with hanging crystals and white orchid garlands that created a  beautiful back drop.  The bride was a vision making her grand entrance, down the flagstone staircase with progressive waterfall!

The ceremony was officiated by a good friend of the couples and  he did an amazing job!  It was a very heartfelt and moving ceremony!  After the ceremony and group photos, the guests were entertained by the wonderful sounds of Kanoa Kukaua on guitar while Café O’ Lei provided an assortment of delicious appetizers on the patio with breath taking views of the ocean.

An elegant dinner was served on the deck of the pool house cabana, under crystal chandeliers, candle light, and the soft pastels of the sunset!   After dinner the guests were treated to a slide show prepared by the couple, then cake cutting & toasts.

The guests were invited back up to the spacious upper deck for cocktails and dancing!  The lounge sofa, Ottomans and Bistro bulb lights defiantly gave the feel of an elegant, private club on the ocean!  My favorite part was watching the traditional Persian  dances!

Michael Andrews from A& C photography was able to capture phenomenal photos from the pre wedding photos of the bride & her bridesmaids at their hotel, to an added 2nd day shoot with the couple!  Thank you A & C you are always a pleasure to work with!

Thank you Tanjia & Jeff for choosing us at A Perfect Paradise Wedding, to be a part of your special day, you were a pleasure to work with, and I look forward to staying in touch!

Do blind dates ever really work?!  Yes they do, just ask my happily married couple, Gem & John!

Gem & John were set up by Coworkers and had an instant attraction.  After three years, John took Gem to one of their favorite spots, Cape May in New Jersey, and popped the question!

Gem & John both always wanted a small, intimate destination wedding and after seeing a YouTube video of Olowalu, they knew Maui was the place.

After over 16 years of planning weddings on Maui, I have a lot of great, memorable events, but Gem & John’s has really stuck with me!  They were such a pleasure to plan with and really were mostly concerned with their family & friends having the time of their life’s.

Great food was important, so of course we hired our personal favorite, Café O’ Lei.   They provided an amazing sushi bar and Masa, our favorite sushi chef made custom rolls for the guests.  It was also important to honor the Philippine tradition and have a whole roasted pig!

The guests were treated to a 20 cast Luau show and weren’t shy about joining in!  It was so wonderful to watch everyone enjoying themselves.

The beautiful evening ended with a sparkler farewell, kiss and Tad Craig there to capture it all!

7 years later and Gem & John have a 5 year old genius daughter, who has been reading since she was 2 and a 2 year old son, who is the life of the party!

Gem & John hope to be able to return to Maui for their 10th year anniversary.  Hopefully I will have the honor of planning a small vow renewal!

Thank you Gem & John for choosing me to be a part of your special day and keeping in touch over the years!

Erin & Tom chose the Olowalu Plantation house for it’s beautiful views and vintage feel!  It was the perfect location for their simple but elegant, black & white themed destination wedding.

Tropical Topiaries of white orchids adorned the ceremony site providing the guests with an unobstructed view of the ocean and the lovely island of Lanai in the distance.

Elegant bamboo canopies with sheer white fabric were erected over the grand dinning tables to create a romantic and intimate atmosphere.  Rustic Burlap runners, candles, and simple square vases of white calla lilies, orchids & poppies gave the tables that perfect extra touch.

Such a wonderful and adorable couple!  Thank you Erin & Tom for letting me be a part of your wonderful day!
