If you’re looking for a Maui wedding with a touch of Hawaiian flare, then take a look at our Island Tradition Package!

The Island tradition package comes with authentic dressed Male & female torch bearers/ hula dancers, Hawaiian guitarist & a drummer and flower circle to set the mood on your romantic beach location.

The ceremony begins with the blowing of the conch shell from the drummer to signal the lighting of the torches.  The male & female torch bearers begin the processional, walking in to the beating of the drum, followed by the bridal party.  Once the bridal party is in place another 3 blows of the conch shell are followed by the Hawaiian guitarist for the bride to make her way down the aisle and to join the groom in the circle of flowers.

The Hawaiian Officiate will offer a Hawaiian chant & blessing to begin the ceremony. The significance of the Leis in Hawaii is explained and the groom will place the bride’s lei around her neck, followed by a kiss and then the act is repeated with the bride giving the groom his lei & kiss.

After the traditional blessing & exchanging of rings, the female hula dancer performs the Hawaiian wedding song hula, accompanied by the guitarist.

Once the bride & groom have been announced as Husband & wife, both the male & female dancers perform the traditional celebration dance for the couple.

[…] It was important to Hector & Javier to incorporate Hawaiian elements into the ceremony with a Hawaiian Officiate and the Hawaiian processional.  The Hawaiian processional provided by our favorite Hawaiian entertainment company, Manuteanuie, consisted of two torch bearers/Hula dancers, drummer & a Hawaiian guitarist.   For more details about the Hawaiian processional visit our blog https://aperfectparadisewedding.com/Blog/island-tradition-wedding-package/ […]
