Love at The Kukahiko Estate, Makena Maui

Brittany & JJ chose The Kukahiko Estate in Makena Maui for its privacy & incredible view for their special day!  Traveling away from the hustle bustle of L.A, it was important for the two of them to have an ocean front wedding venue to exchange their vows without any distractions in front of a small handful of their closest friends.

The Kukahiko estate is one of the few Oceanfront wedding venues on Maui, that has an affordable ceremony only package, allowing couples to have a budget friendly alternative to a beach wedding.

It was very important to the ladies that their day be fun and ordered the champagne toast for guest arrival! The staff greeted the guests upon arrival with their flutes and directed them toward the Polaroid station/guest book.

Brittany surprised JJ by walking down the aisle to her favorite song, Best Part, which got the talented Ginny Morgan to learn on cello.

After a beautiful and moving ceremony by Officiate Charles Nahale, complete with the blowing of the conch shell, the exchanging of both leis and rings, lots of kissing & a big bubble finale, the couple were officially Maui’d!

After the group photos & a bit more fun, the party continued at Gannon’s Upper Pond.  The Newlyweds stayed back for some incredible photos by Frank B on the Lava Rocks, a quick stop at our favorite beach for sunset & toes in the sand photos, then Brittany & JJ joined their guests to get the reception started!

Thank you Brittany & JJ for allowing A Perfect Paradise Wedding to be a part of your special & fun day!

Bold & Beautiful tropical wedding at the Olowalu Plantation House

I had the pleasure of being Gina & JR’s “Day of” coordination for their special day at The Olowalu Plantation House!  The couple researched & hired their own vendors, but needed a Maui based coordinator for the day to ensure that all of their hard planning came together to create a memorable day, without any hiccups.

A Day of coordinator really involves more than overseeing the actual day, it starts with connecting with all vendors selected and reconfirming the order, numbers, and timing.  We meet with the clients prior to the event to discuss the lay out, special instructions and last minute changes.  Communication is the key to wedding planning! A lot of potential situations can be eliminated, if caught early enough!

We work directly with the clients assisting in creating a time line and most importantly, are the go to person when unforeseen circumstances happen.  Cause believe me …”stuff” happens! We have had everything from a power outage, a water spout that hit land & created havoc on the wedding set up, road closures, drunk guests, I could go on and on!  The coordinator plays an important role, relying on experience, great resources and a kick ass emergency kit!

Gina & JR are a great looking, adventurous  couple with class & style!  My favorite personal touch at the wedding was their table number signs!  They had a different stunning photo of their exotic travels together!  Love it!  The couple did a phenomenal job choosing their wedding vendors for their destination wedding & reception! Their bright tropical, pineapple themed wedding was a perfect fit for the Olowalu Plantation House creating a romantic & fun atmosphere and incredible photos!

Thank you Gina & JR for selecting A Perfect Paradise Wedding to be a part of your special day, it really means a lot to us!  We know that there are a lot of coordination companies on Maui to chose from and are honored that you chose us to oversee the details!

A True Love Story

Kaylee & Richie shared their amazing story of overcoming unimaginable odds and fighting to recover from separate accidents, which ended up bringing them back into each other’s lives, to recover and reconnect! Sweet, grateful and kind, such a beautiful couple, inside & out!

Kaylee & Richie chose the Lower knoll at Gannon’s in wailea for their intimate ceremony, a tropical, ocean view surrounded by a pristine  golf course. Pre wedding photos of Kaylee and her bridesmaids began at the hotel with the talented Tad Craig photography.  After a few pre wedding photos of Richie and his grooms men, the couple chose to have a “first Look” in private and spend a few moments together before the ceremony.

The talented David Wolf played guitar, while Kaylee was escorted down the aisle by her father.  Kaylee’s father also officiated the touching ceremony before family & friends, moving everyone from tears to laughter.

After the family & group shots, the guests were escorted to the cocktail hour at Gannon’s upper pond.  After a few fun bridal party portraits, the bride & groom were announced and enjoyed their first dance as husband & wife.

While the guests enjoyed appetizers & cocktails, the couple finished their portraits on the beach and enjoyed an incredible sunset to celebrate the next chapter in this beautiful story!

Thank you Kaylee & Richie for allowing A Perfect Paradise Wedding to be a part of your very special day!  A Hui Hou – Until we meet again!!!
